At night,  felt afraid of the dark. Every evening, when the light went out, it seemed like everything disappeared: the toys, the colors, the sounds… even the little voice inside.

So   curled up inside the sleeping bag and squeezed both eyes shut tight.

Until one night, in the stillness, there came a gentle plop. It was Poppy—the penguin with eyes as warm as a hug.

“Do you want me to show you the secret of the dark?” whispered Poppy.

  hesitated. “I… I’m scared.”
“Hold my flipper,” said Poppy softly. “You won’t see… but you will feel.”

The moment   touched Poppy’s flipper, everything changed. As they drifted together into the darkness, the body felt light—like a soft little cloud.

There was no seeing... but birds sang sweetly, as if right nearby.
There was no seeing... but the night flowers released their hidden scent—something daylight never revealed.
There was no seeing... but there was the grip of a warm flipper, and a gentle hug wrapping around from everywhere.

“Do you know why everything feels clearer now?” whispered Poppy.
“Because when we can’t see… we hear, we smell, and we feel more,” said  .
“That’s right,” said Poppy. “That’s why the dark exists— to help us rest and remind us what truly matters.”

smiled. The fear had melted away.

Snuggled close to Poppy,   drifted off to sleep… inside a world that didn’t need to be seen to be loved.
