Tonight, just couldn’t settle down to sleep.
At the summer school concert,
would have to stand and sing all alone in front of everyone.
But suddenly… the words were gone!
No matter how many times
whispered them softly,
the lyrics slipped away like tiny soap bubbles floating into the air.
Wrapped in a soft pink sleeping bag, warmth settled in like a hug. And just then… came a gentle flutter of wings. It was Poppy, the little penguin!
“I can’t sing tomorrow,” said .
“I know where forgotten words go—and how to bring them back,” said Poppy with a kind smile.
Tiny feet turned into flippers, and a sweet, cozy feeling grew all around.
Now was a penguin too.
They walked side by side across a snowy hillside made of musical notes.
Poppy began to sing softly, and joined in.
Little by little, every word returned.
“But what if I forget again tomorrow?” asked .
“That’s all right,” said Poppy. “You’ll sing with your voice… and your heart will remember.”
smiled, curled up close to Poppy, and drifted off to sleep inside the melody.
And the most wonderful thing? The song that was forgotten… was sung perfectly in the dream.
